PAT Testing ensures that all appliances on your premises are safe to use and do not pose a risk to employees or anyone else who comes into contact with them. Portable Appliance Testing is a physical examination of all portable electrical appliances, including plugs and cables, in your workplace or premises. PAT Testing must be carried out on an annual basis by qualified persons according to Irish Law.

What is portable appliance testing?
PAT testing is a number of tests and physical examinations performed on portable electrical appliances. Results & data from the tests are entered and stored on a computer. The customer will receive a detailed report of the tests post-examination.
As part of a PAT testing callout, Apollo Group Ireland electricians will perform an electrical safety check on all installations throughout your workplace or building. Our team will carry out a full visual inspection. Followed by a full investigation using ETCI (Electro-Technical Council of Ireland) approved electrical installation test equipment. Following the tests we will provide a detailed inspection report highlighting any issues found and actions to rectify these issues. PAT test results must be kept available for 5 years, in compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations, SI 299, 2007. At Apollo Group your safety is our priority, therefore we ensure regular testing is scheduled and carried out across your workplace or premises.
